An outstanding African green meets with a spritely natural lemon sweetness. A rich lemony, captivating cup of tea. Both lemongrass and green tea are said to assist with mental clarity and alertness. The added lemon peel provides extra vitamin C. A study in 2007 by Mario Ferruzi, Asst. Prof. of food sciences at Purdue University found Vitamin C improves the antioxidant effect in green tea. The base green teas used in this blend are from 1) Kapchorua - rather than being pan-fried or steamed, they're manufactured using a CTC machine, a process usually reserved for black teas. Consistently full-bodied and highly flavored Kapchorua is certified by the Ethical Tea Partnership and Fair Trade. 2) The second base is Satemwa Dryuer Mouth, one of the worldﾒs freshest tasting teas. The finished product contains leaf pieces of varying size and produces an exceptionally flavory cup. Satemwa Estate is also certified by the Ethical Tea Partnership. All teas in this blend are grown on pesticide free estates.

Mass Market teas typically have a 5-6% antioxidant level. This tea has an ultra high antioxidant level of 13.05%

Hot Tea:
- Boil water and let cool to 180F/90C
- Steep for 3 minutes (longer=stronger)
- Use approx. 1 tsp per cup
- To re-infuse use higher temperature/less time

Iced Tea:
- Pour 1 1/4 cups boiled water on 6 tsps of tea
- Steep for 5 minutes
- Pour into pitcher while straining leaves.
- For a quart of tea add ice & top w/cold water
- Garnish and sweeten to taste
